Q: How can I order the bench top from you?

A: a. Email us a plan of your benches to sales@sunhome.co.nz. Mark polished (seen) edges with an ‘X’ and where sink and hob cut outs will be. We’ll send you a formal quote (valid in four weeks) within 24 hours.
b. If all looks good, come in and see us to choose the colour and pay $200, the first deposit to confirm the order (or with paying $200 deposit to confirm the order, we can also bring the samples to your home for you to choose from when doing onsite template.)
c. Email or call us on (09)265 0896 and 021 800 551 to arrange the onsite template date and time.
d. After template, we will send you an invoice for the second deposit (50%). It has to be paid before we start to manufacture. There is no time to make any change after manufacturing.
e. The final payment needs to be cleared after we finish manufacture in the factory and before arranging the installation time and date. (You are the most welcome to inspect the bench tops in the factory before you make the final payment. In some cases, you can make the final payment after the installation as long as you sign the credit agreement (Especially for the long-term partners).
f. The leading time for the bench top installation is 5 - 7 working days for the standard bench tops (20mm and 30mm benches) and for the thicker bench tops, it allows 2-3 weeks after onsite template.
g. Your plumber can hook up the waste for your sink 24 hours after our installation. Your electrician can install the cook top immediately after we’ve left.

Q: How do I clean my engineered quartz bench top?

A: Engineered quartz bench top requires very little maintenance to keep the surface looking like new. For everyday, routine cleaning of quartz bench tops, we recommend wiping the surface with warm soapy water (a mild detergent) and a damp cloth or alternatively use a quality spray and wipe type cleaner.

Q: How do I maintain the polish on my Quartz bench top

A: Due to Quartz high density and non-porous qualities, normal cleaning with a damp cloth will keep the surface looking like the first day it was installed. To avoid dulling the surface's shine, make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner.

Q: Can the Quartz Surfaces be used outdoors?

A: We do not recommend the use of engineered quartz products externally. Whilst some customers have opted to install engineered quartz in outdoor applications, external applications may not be covered by our engineered quartz Warranty. The engineered quartz has not been approved for prolonged UV ray exposure settings.

Q: Can I put the hot items directly onto the engineered quartz surface?

A: Engineered stone will tolerate brief exposures to moderately hot temperatures, however prolonged direct contact with or radiated heat from pots and pans can cause thermal shock, discolouration or damage. Don’t place hot pots, pans or oven trays onto the surface directly. Use a hot pad or trivet to place hot items onto instead.

The Project Quartz has three price ranges: Standard Range; Middle Range and High Range. For the Carsarstone and Silestone colours, you may give us the price range or colours you choose.

Q: What is the five year limited warranty of workmanship and ten year limited warranty of the Project Quartz?

A: Five Year Limited Warranty for granite and engineered stone bench top. (For the workmanship.)
This Warranty covers any defect, or damage to the bench top arising out of any work done during the manufacture and installation process (such as break of the joints).
Ten Year Limited Warranty for Project Quartz Engineered Stone. (For the workmanship.)
